Use Cases

There are many scenarios surrounding the documentation of vaccine-relevant information. The mechanisms and processes in connection with the described documents of the exchange format always remain the same, regardless of the storage, be it via XDS repositories, file systems or others. It is always about merging elements in different documents into one document.

The Use Cases for Swiss EPR (IHE XDS)

The use cases listed below describe the possible scenarios relating to vaccination documentation in the context of the EPD. The EPD is based on an IHE environment and the health data is stored as documents in an XDS repository. The problem of synchronizing the metadata in the XDS and FHIR exchange format is known, but is not part of this IG, which describes the exchange format.
